Medina Serviced Apartments, the Australian market leader in serviced apartments, are proud to announce the official opening of the $28 million Medina Grand Perth on 16 September 2004.

The Medina Grand Perth is located at the southern end of the Perth CBD on Mounts Bay Road, a stones throw from the Swan River. Situated only minutes walk from the Barrack Street ferry terminal, Swan Bells, Kings Park and the CBD, it will make a perfect Perth base for leisure and business travellers alike.

It is Medina’s entry into the WA market and the property’s interiors will be setting new standards in Perth for its contemporary design.

The interiors of the 138 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and studio rooms have been designed by George Freedman and will make the Medina Perth’s most fashionable address.

The use of understated colours in the lobby and hallways has been combined with sophisticated and contemporary lighting. All rooms and public areas are decorated with Western Australian landscape photography by Richard Woldendorp.

In the light and airy rooms, all with balconies and outdoor furniture, different colour schemes have been used. Many of the rooms and apartments have sophisticated design elements such as concealed storage areas and the use of zebra and leopard prints on stools and chairs.

The ambience of Medina’s new on-site restaurant, called The Metro Bar and Bistro, is vibrant and French. The restaurant is of modern design and seats more than 150 people. The restaurant is named after the Metropolitan in Paris which also aligns it to the bistro style food being served.

The Metro Bar and Bistro concentrates on great service in a casual dining environment, and will be open for breakfast and dinner daily. The beverage list includes French champagnes and a wide selection of French and Australian wines.
