5. Feed a dolphin:hand-feed wild dolphins at Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort just a short ferry ride away from the city on Moreton Island. Each evening the dolphins, varying in numbers from five to nine, swim into the shallow well lit area adjacent to the resort jetty to be hand fed their favourite fish. South East Queensland is also home to the largest concentration of native koalas in Australia, and there is a large colony just 35-minutes drive from the city in Redland Shire near Moreton Bay.
