| With more restaurants and café per capita than any other city in Australia, and some of the country’s best wines grown within a two-hour drive, finding somewhere to eat and drink is easy. The best range of options in the city are along Hay, Murray and King streets. On the city outskirts Subiaco buzzes with stylish restaurants and wine bars Rokeby Road and Hay Street is where you'll find most of the action. Harbour-side Freo (Fremantle) is the place to go for Italian and fish restaurants and locally brewed beers. Beaufort Street in Mt Lawley is fast gaining a reputation for fine dining with some of Perth's best new restaurants as well as a mix of noodle, pizza bars and busy pubs. Oxford Street in Leederville is always busy in the evenings, but the place to head for if you want to party the night way is Northbridge where you'll find restaurants offering every cuisine imaginable, as well as pubs, bars and clubs. |

8. Cicerello’s Fish and Chips:much more than your average fish ‘n’ chip shop. Housed in a boatshed style building facing Fremantle’s famous Fishing Boat Harbour, Cicerello’s still sells the real thing, freshly caught seafood including oysters, mussels, crabs and crayfish and chips wrapped in butcher’s paper.
